performance"for regula idea wagner, being contemporary is an essential part of artistic creation. she does not safeguard the old ways in her compositions, but looks for new ways to transform them. the drums itself has changed. tradition leaves room for instruments constructed from everyday life: human gestures and the everyday items found in the home, in the kitchen, work and the street. this is the manner of her performances. the audience, the outdoor noise, the energy of the place, the factors which create the uniqueness of the moment, are all invited to play a part in her instant composing.

music of the present-day, imbued with the contradictions of modern society, with question marks over history and appeals to female archetypes wich present the public with worries about the future, but also various possibilities.

it is difficult to describe regula idea wagners music in words, musik which, like all music, is to be listened to. as such, she makes an appeal which she addresses above all to herself, but also to the public: in the words of joelle lĂ©andre 'take a risk, surprise yourself' and go and see her live."         (written by susi monzali)

political performance rhythmic sounds and poetry by and with the poet marisa porello and the percussionist/performer regula idea wagner.

keep the consience awake and alert, don't let the dust of indifference smother the memory, guard the precious heritage of the women who came before. the performance has a very contemporary feel, portrayed through rhythms and words, the re-percussions on bodies, inner awareness and minds.
